We're The Public Eye. 

A quartet consisting of Joey, Zack, Cav and Jonah, formed in the back end of lockdown 2021 -We're waving the flag for indie rock / alternative music our local city of Derby

 

Taking inspiration from band such as Fontaines DC, Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead, our sound is ever evolving but currently we'd say it is moving towards a darker side of indie rock.

Our hometown plays a huge influence in our music, with our lyrics very often written about the situations and characters we witness and meet in our daily lives there. Our latest release, ‘This place is a Soap Opera’ is no exception - inspired by an encounter we had with a guy on the verge of a breakdown outside our local pub.

Since our inception we have received huge support from BBC introducing and have had the pleasure of playing at festivals such as YNOT and Isle of Wright and had the privilege to support the likes of Inspiral Carpets, Toploader, Overpass and Blondes.

Over the years we have grown a very loyal following in Derby and surrounding areas like Nottingham which we are immensely proud and appreciative of.
