Lucy Crisp
Indie Pop
Becoming an optimistic force amongst the gloom faced daily by intertwining electro-pop melodies with subtle retro touches, Lucy Crisp continues to spread her infectious charismatic appeal as a songwriter and storyteller. Inspired by the likes of Lorde, Muna and The 1975, the 23 year old Nottingham singer creates a sound that she describes as “the modern version of 80’s pop”. Despite her on-going battle with Cystic Fibrosis, Lucy’s utilises her own struggles and self-growth as one of her strengths to vocally communicate deeply personal moments in a way that is intimately relatable to anyone. In the past year, her affable indie pop sound has attracted immense support from the Nottingham music scene, as well as receiving 4 track of the weeks from BBC Introducing East Midlands and being part of Youth Music’s NextGen Campaign. 2023 saw Lucy release her debut EP, 65 Roses, which contained a soundscape of hopeful honesty about living with a disability throughout her early twenties. There’s never a moment where you won’t feel emotion from the imagery Lucy portrays lyrically and sonically.
