Hi! I’m Jason I am 28.

At 14 I started writing angsty raps in my bedroom, 

then I discovered the mod scene and scooter rallies at 16. I picked up a guitar and binge watched Marty Schwartz videos, learning to play The Jam, The Kinks and The Who. Fast forward to 2020. Lockdown gave me a lot more time to write and play guitar and start taking it seriously. I built a shed to practice in (so I didn't keep the kids awake) this is now my "home studio".

 

I recorded a couple videos of me singing my songs to show my friends, they were well received and a friend introduced me to interfaces and DAWs and how easy home recording is. In no time I had a handful of songs written and recorded and I was looking into distribution.

 

In 2023 I released my first single “Time is tight” an old school Rock ‘n Roll inspired tune. By the end of 2023 I’d released a total of 7 songs in 3 months and figured it was time to up the ante. I learn best by doing, from experience, mistakes and progress. I knew if I was going to mix and master my own songs I needed practice.

So, I decided to release a song every week for 2024, to cram as much experience into as little time as I could.
